Hi! I thought since I am traveling this week and not sitting on your couch watching SYTYCD I should blog about it or something. Then I thought about how that is a stupid topic to blog about but the whole communicating with you through a blog idea still held water. We are funny! We should write funny things to each other in a public forum!
So here we are. I titled it using a phrase you said once in passing that other people won’t fully understand. You probably don’t even remember saying it! That’s how naming a blog works, right? I was also thinking that John and Carolyn could contribute. John buys so many CDs a week he could review them here and maybe write off the money he spends as a business expense. Sure, he spells stuff wrong but spelling stuff wrong is cool now. Plus, that is is enough of a quirk to flesh out his voice on this blog beyond “roommate“. And Carolyn is just awesome.
Soon I will be back in the States eating too much pre-packaged food and running around in circles drinking shitty coffee and feeling self-important with my fellow Americans. But until then I will hopefully chat with you here?

P.S. Have you ever seen the BBC documentary called The Seven Ages of Rock? SO RECOMMENDED. (If you have already seen it I am unspeakably pissed that you never mentioned it.) The episode I saw last night (on Croatian National Television during prime time, thank you) was about the start of British Indie rock in the 1980s and how it basically either indirectly or directly led to the creation of 2/3rds of your favorite bands. I almost sent you an SMS about it. Check it: http://www.bbc.co.uk/music/sevenages/programmes/what-the-world-is-waiting-for/
P.P.S. Why is a Croatian bus station with an un-airconditioned Internet cafe playing better music in the middle of the night then any station is playing in Boston? Fuck, European radio, even Central European pop radio, puts JAMN 94.5 to such shame. I just wrote the last three sentences to this song:
